Hi, I’m Gemma, a childbirth educator and doula based on the Central Coast, with over 10 years of experience supporting more than 400 families through pregnancy, birth, and those early newborn days.
Through Birthability, I offer personalised, evidence-based doula support and birth education for families across the Central Coast, including Gosford, Terrigal, Woy Woy, and surrounding areas. Whether you’re planning a homebirth, hospital birth, VBAC, or just wanting to feel more confident stepping into birth, support is always shaped around you.
My approach is calm, down-to-earth, and grounded in real experience. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all way to birth. Instead, I help you understand your options, navigate the system, and feel confident making decisions that feel right for you and your family.
Support includes emotional, physical, and informational care throughout pregnancy, labour, and birth. I also place a strong focus on partner support, so they feel included, confident, and ready to support you when it really matters.
With training in Optimal Maternal Positioning, acupressure, and trauma-aware care, I bring hands-on techniques and practical tools that can support comfort, baby’s positioning, and the flow of labour.
Birthability also offers private and group birth classes on the Central Coast. These are designed to go beyond standard hospital education and give you practical, real-world tools you can actually use during labour and early postpartum.
