Nestwell Postpartum: Nurturing Support for Mothers

Motherhood changes everything. The postpartum season is not simply a recovery period — it is a profound transformation. I believe this sacred window deserves to be honoured, protected, and deeply supported. Matrescence, the transition into motherhood, is a rite of passage, a time of physical healing, emotional awakening, identity shifts, and deep connection. No mother should have to walk through it feeling unseen or alone.

My own journey into postpartum work began through my lived experience as a mother. After the birth of my first baby, postpartum was not what I expected. I felt anxious, lost, and isolated during a time I thought would feel instinctive and joyful. I quickly realised how unsupported many mothers are in those early weeks and how deeply that lack of care can impact the transition into motherhood. When preparing for my second postpartum, I chose to do things differently. I planned intentionally, prioritised rest and nourishment, and hired a postpartum doula to support me. That experience changed everything. I felt held, nurtured, and empowered in a way I never had before. It became a deeply healing and transformative time in my life, and it ignited a passion within me to offer that same level of care and support to other mothers.

As a postpartum doula, I bring a gentle, grounding presence into your home so you can feel cared for while caring for your baby. I believe nourishing the mother is at the heart of postpartum healing. I am deeply passionate about nutrient-dense, restorative foods - warm, comforting meals designed to support recovery, replenish the body, and nurture emotional wellbeing during this tender season.
