Hello there,
I’m so excited that you are here! Congratulations on your pregnancy and for making the decision to make this journey into parenthood positive and empowering!
A little about me- My name is Shelby, I was born and raised in the Hills District of Sydney, NSW. I am a partner, mother to one beautiful little girl (my hypnobub) and lover of dogs! I am a Registered Nurse, aspiring Child and Family Health Nurse, qualified Birth and Postpartum Doula and Certified Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner. For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with pregnancy, birth and babies (to put it simply).
At about 18 weeks pregnant I made the decision to invest in a doula (the best money I ever spent). Heading into my birth, I felt well educated, confident and supported. Whist my birth did not ‘go to plan’ (birth never does), my partner and I were able to emerge from our birth feeling physically well and emotionally safe.
I believe every birthing mother and partner deserve this care and have made it my mission to support as many parents as possible to achieve more positive birth outcomes.
As your doula, it is my role to hold space for you, empower you and guide you. I provide continuity of care throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum and specialise in supporting birth partners to feel equipped and confident in their role as your primary support person.
I support all kinds of births, from home birth, hospital birth (Public and Private), Birth Centre, Caesarean section, VBAC and induction. My goal is for you to birth your way, on your terms and feel empowered by your decision about how your baby is brought into the world. My services also extend past your birth and into your postpartum. Packages can be altered to suit any unique situation so that you receive the care that aligns with your specific needs.
