Hi, I’m Josi! I am a balanced blend of nurturing warmth and vibrant energy. As a trusted doula for expectant mothers, I compassionately journey alongside mothers throughout their pregnancy, birth and beyond.
With a hands-on approach rooted in both traditional wisdom and evidence-based practices, I bring a refreshing outlook to the doula space. In addition to birth and postpartum doula support, I provide tangible relief through massage and acupressure and offer guidance that resonates with both mothers and fathers alike.

On a personal note – I am a mum of four, including twins. My children are now 10,9,9 and 5 and my own pregnancies and births have been completely unique and each time I grew more and more into the mother and woman I am today. The birth of our fourth child, a VBA2C, was indeed the catalyst for the doula work I do today and I am 100% committed to mothers and families that are wanting a “different experience” this time around. While I cannot guarantee you the birth outcomes you desire, I can ensure you that we will make everything possible that anything will be done on your own terms and that you will always be able to make an informed decision because the work we have done together leading up to your birth.

Birth & Postpartum Doula

I support whatever the mums wishes are, as long as you are making an informed decision - happy days ! This includes hospital births, home births, private OB births, MGP, C-sections, inductions... and everything in between ! My birth philosophy is hands off; my pregnancy and postpartum philosophy is hands on! We can chat about everything while I fold your washing or do the dishes... I nurture you with massages, foot soaks and hands on support when you need it leading up to birth and I will teach your partner how to best support you during birth and leading up to birth. During birth I stand back (and step in if needed) and watch the beautiful dance between mums and their partners doing their thing all while making sure the necessities are covered. The music is playing, the lights are right, you never go without some water. I spoon feed you snacks and quietly encourage you how amazing you're doing. In postpartum I take a common sense, no bs approach and whatever is needed will get done (except cleaning the toilets... sorry. You can hire a cleaner for that ;) ). My focus is heavily on nurturing the mother all while making sure everyone and everything is relaxed around her too.

Mobile Massage / bodywork

Intuitive massage incorporating moxa, acupressure, pelvic steaming and cupping. Suitable for preconception, pregnancy, labour preparation (from 37 wks) and postpartum. Also offering c-section scar release treatments.

Belly binding

Traditional Ayurvedic Belly Binding: Provides postural support for the torso and organs as they return to pre-‐ pregnancy position. Aides in restoring abdominal wall and diastasis recti recovery. Prevents and relieves shoulder and back discomfort. Reduction of excess fluid and air in the abdominal tissue and cells. Improves circulation. Decreases the length of postpartum bleeding. Provides physical comfort and support. Stabilization for ligaments. Prevents slouching while nursing your baby.
