The Danish term “hygge” means to create feelings of comfort, contentment, cosiness, joy, and wellbeing. As a hygge doula, all of these are feelings that I aim to create during the pregnancy, birth, and post-partum period.
If you’ve ever spent time with friends and left feeling like you’re still wrapped in a hug, that’s hygge.
