Firstly, I’d like to say a heartful ‘thank you’ for your time, interest, and consideration of my support to as your doula.
I’m the owner of Matrescence Australia – a full spectrum doula and placenta encapsulation service that provides education as well as physical and emotional support to women and birthing people, no matter the outcome of pregnancy.
Pregnancy, birth and the first few weeks spent learning about your precious baby are a sacred and profound time in your lives and I feel deeply honoured and privileged to be able to walk with families during this period.
As a Doula, I commit to the families that I work with that I will provide holistic, unbiased, and unwavering support to them during this transition.
I believe that birth is a rite of passage and how you choose to treat your pregnancy, birth your baby, and care for your newborn creates the foundation for their life, and your life together as a family.
Sadly, how a mother feels when she births, is often missing (or completely omitted) from the equation. It does however have a direct impact on both her interactions with her newborn and with her view of herself as a new mother.
Matrescence means ‘the birth of a mother’, it is a period of monumental transition – often encompassing physical, emotional, and spiritual shifts for a woman.
Education and the right support are the foundations that help a woman not only navigate this period but to do so feeling empowered, informed, and capable of advocating for herself and her baby.
It would be my great privilege to support you during the growth of your family and thank you again for your consideration.
Love and light,
Andrea
